Home Building, Renovation & Remodeling Reviews
General Contractor in Strathmore, Calgary, Langdon Areas
"My husband and I were in need of a contractor for a large renovation on our home. Scott had done work for a number of friends and was highly recommended, so we were thrilled that he was available to take on our renovation.
We had done most of the demolition and had ordered the kitchen cabinets before meeting with Scott. We had a mother-in-law suite that we were incorporating into the main part of the house so we needed walls and doorways moved and the plumbing and electrical updated as well as new flooring, tiling, installation of some new windows and all new trim and doors. Scott was very helpful in offering suggestions and ideas as well as accommodating our wants and needs. What was great about working with Scott was that once we explained what we wanted, he got it. In addition to doing all the framing, installing new windows and doors, all new trim as well as the tile work in the bathrooms and kitchen and a new schluter system in the ensuite, he was our general contractor for the job, so he organized the sub trades and kept them on task. He was efficient, effective and meticulous in his work and he always kept our best interests in mind. He was always pleasant to work with and made this renovation seem seamless. We would never have believed that our renovation could have been this easy.
We love our new home! Everything is exactly as we wanted and we are grateful to Scott for the great job and our stress-free experience."

"We had Scott Miller and Valley Works Construction renovate our kitchen and family room. Scott was wonderful to work with. He walked us through every single aspect of the process and explained anything we didn't understand. He came with us to choose our cabinets, counter tops and fixtures offering expert advice and helping with the sales people. He gave us a schedule for what would happen each day of the process. Every day, Scott and his team showed up on time and were very respectful of our home. Each day they left my house clean and ready to use. Scott was always present when a tradesman I didn't know was in the house, which made me feel very comfortable to leave the house and go about my day. He made sure that every sub-contractor behaved with the same high level of professionalism. There were some custom pieces that Scott had to craft from scratch and we are thrilled with the beauty and mastery of his work. His talent for woodworking is unmatched. Scott finished the work on time and on budget and with amazing results. Our home is beautiful. Everything is exactly what we wanted when we started this project and that is because of the hard work of Scott Miller and Valley Works Construction. I would highly recommend Valley Works Construction for all your renovation needs, we will certainly be using him again in the future."
"Working with Valley Works Construction on the development of our basement was an amazing experience. You hear so many horror stories; it was truly a pleasure to have Scott and his team in control. Everything was on schedule and as quoted and impeccably built. The respect shown for both our home and our time was greatly appreciated. The work site was always left clean and orderly and we always knew exactly when the next shift would start. Scott answered all our questions with patience and went out of his way to make sure we were informed with what was happening at every stage in the process. The finished product was exactly what we wanted and the quality of work is outstanding! We are moving into a new home in the fall and are excited to get to work with Valley Works Construction again on our new home!"

Being in the business for a number of years means that we have many relationships in place that allow us to offer top notch service and quality.

If you are not 100% satisfied then he will do what it takes to exceed your expectations. We promise to treat your home or business with the privacy and respect that we would want in our own homes. This means using protective drop cloths, carpet protection mask film or commercial grade floor runners to protect your property before, during and after the construction process. We will custom suit a work schedule to ensure productivity and efficiency is maximized on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
We will provide a no obligation estimate on every project, big or small.
What is a Red Seal Carpenter?
The Interprovincial Red Seal Program establishes standards and regulations for common, designated trades throughout Canada. Tradespersons who have successfully passed the Red Seal examination receive a Red Seal endorsement on their provincial/territorial trade certificate. The Red Seal, when affixed to a provincial or territorial trade certificate, indicates that a tradesperson has demonstrated the knowledge required for the national standard in that trade. The Red Seal endorsement promotes excellence to employers, instills pride in skilled workers, and facilitates labour mobility. Certification and Red Seal endorsement of a tradesperson can be confirmed with the provincial or territorial apprenticeship authority that issued the Red Seal.Get in Touch
